I've been working on this sweet I Spy quilt for my very first granddaughter, Brynlee Ann Stolcpart and I wanted to share it with YOU! You who have found my babblings about my sewing projects!
I love this quilt because I can take it with me while I'm riding in my car (or my hubby's pickup in this case!) We're headed to THE BIG CITY to by ROCKS!!! Yes, we live in Rock County but we can't buy a rock there! (Maybe I should capitalize on that! We have more SAND than ROCKS. After all we are on the edge of the Sandhills!!! We're too relaxed to pressure this sand into being rocks! I'll give up on that last idea!)
I cut all the fabric I could find in MY stash that had a SOMETHING on it to "spy" so I put out a plea on Facebook. I got some YUMMY things from my friends so I sew on!!
I'm not sure how to finish it. I think I'll just run out of fabric and some point in a far off time, and square the thing up and quilt it! I can't even imagine putting a binding around these 2" sides, up and down and around these cute little blocks!
I hope Brynlee and all my future little ones enjoy it as much as I have. 💕
These are some TINY stitches! But I don't want it to fall apart! So I stitch and stitch and stitch and think of the fun we're going to have looking very, very closely for A THING! So welcome to my new blog! Please come back for more sewing adventures (and what I'm doing with ROCKS!)
